Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
This policy explains how Tried (“we”, “us”) handles personal information. It covers visitors to this website, people who hold a Tried account, and people who speak with an agent that one of our customers runs on our platform.
Two roles
For account and website data, we decide how the information is used. For call data (recordings, transcripts and extracted fields), our customer decides, and we process it on their behalf under our agreement with them. If you called a business that uses Tried, contact that business first about your information.
What we collect
- Account details: name, work email, company, role and sign-in records.
- Billing details: billing contact and payment records. Card numbers are held by our payment provider, not by us.
- Call data processed for customers: phone numbers, audio, transcripts, analysis results and metadata such as duration and cost.
- Website data: pages visited and basic device information, kept to what we need to run and secure the site.
How we use it
- To provide the service: run calls, store results, send webhooks and show analytics.
- To bill accounts and prevent fraud and abuse of the phone network.
- To support customers and to fix problems.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer call data to train models.
Where it is stored
Workspace data is stored with our cloud hosting provider. Some providers, including our language model and voice providers, may process data outside Australia. Contact us for the current list of providers.
Retention
Customers choose whether transcripts and recordings are stored at all. Recordings are deleted 30 days after a call unless the customer chooses to keep them longer, up to two years. Account data is kept while the account is open and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or to delete it. Australian residents can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if they are not satisfied with our response.
